Happily Ever After
I will keep telling the stories…
of true love, purity, and biblical marriage.
I witnessed again, this past weekend, such a story.
With tear-streaked face, I stood among a thousand, as a radiant bride walked to meet her enamored groom.
A daughter, nurtured, loved and protected by a father who understood his sacred job of “giving this woman to this man”. It was a wedding long-awaited, a dream come true. On this side, blissful memories of the first kiss at the altar. But not without first walking through that time of fear; of complete trust in her parent’s guidance; of complete trust in her Heavenly Father’s timing.

How beautiful to wait! How profound to know God has a plan worth waiting for! How exquisite to save all one’s dreams, one’s desires, one’s love and heart for another!
The world’s wisdom says, “you can’t find a husband without first giving your heart to many”…the world’s wisdom is foolishness, and we buy it anyway.
This was a forever-covenant, sealed before God and man. There is no recourse, no “plan B”, no back door, no second thoughts. This was two becoming one. God joined them. They cannot be separated. Nor will they ever think they can. p>

I was privileged to be among those witnesses.
This is not a bar too highly-raised…
This is the standard for which we must reach.
This is what God meant…”as long as we both shall live”.
Thank you, Melissa and Justin.
Thank you, Father.

Wasn’t it just picture perfect?!
What a beautiful couple … and oh for more young couples to set such a high standard for their marriage. Thanks for sharing!
This is exactly what I want for my young children and their future spouses. Thank you for sharing!
They’re going to have beautiful children!
Yes, I want these standards for my children as well. My husband and I didn’t have those standards in our growing up years. I want to change the course!
Beautiful pictures, and beautiful sentiments. Thank you so much for sharing.
These are truly beautiful pictures and you can see the pure joy in the eyes of this couple that it sounds like have really followed God closely in their relationship. I’m thankful my husband and I both grew up with parents who really grounded us in the word that we would pursue holiness and purity in our lives. I pray the our children will pursue these same things and find Christian spouses earnestly seeking God with their whole lives!:)
Breath taking pictures!
Thank you for your post and thank you for being a part of our special day! Just a footnote to their story…I believe Melissa & Justin are especially delighting in every moment together now because they didn’t date. Because they trusted the Lord and waited, even a simple trip to the grocery store is a special “date” together. These days, I can only describe them as giddy!
