Election 2008: Where There is Fear, There is No Freedom

“Nothing good ever happens when we make decisions out of fear; and for Christians, it’s downright unbiblical.” –Dave Ramsey

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” — John Quincy Adams

“It does not take a majority to prevail … but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” — Samuel Adams

“Change comes when a few who are brave enough to choose right do it; their bravery gives way to courage in the hearts of other men, and so on, until tyranny is dead.” –Kelly

“Why did our nation’s founders sacrifice so much? We are giving away the freedoms for which they so valiantly fought. We have a duty, not only to them, but to the generations that come after us, to protect every freedom and right that the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution declare for us.

If we do not know history, we are doomed to repeat it. I implore you to learn, study, read and reread your Constitution. Know what you are losing by voting for one of these two men.

Then change your mind. Determine to vote on principle. Encourage others to do the same. The world will see and know that something amazing is happening in the United States. They will be able to see the hand of God moving on our nation once again.”Gina L.

“Republicans tout themselves as being “pro-life.” Yet, the GOP controlled both houses of Congress and the White House for six years and did absolutely nothing to overturn Roe or end abortion-on-demand. If the Republicans were really serious about being pro-life they could have already ended legal abortion in America. Obviously the Republican Party and most GOP politicians are not serious about ending abortion, but are, regrettably, simply content to perpetuate the issue to manipulate pro-life voters.” –Chuck Baldwin

    Kelly,

Our family agrees 100%! Our vote matters to the LORD. We want our vote to be cast with a praise for HIS sovereignty. HE determines the outcome, not our fears.

My husband heard this from Scott Brown and has frequently asked our family, “Who does the Wagner family fear?”
We shout back,”We fear no one except the LORD!”

May He gives us all the grace to continue to walk for HIS glory.

Thanks again for your encouragement, Kelly. I feel as though we have kindred hearts. I appreciate your friendship via your blog.

    Leslie,

LOVE that! We did something similar…we made an acronym of our last name, with each letter standing for some character trait (C for Christ’s, R for Responsible, etc.)

Then the question to our children–”You’re a Crawford…what does that mean?” had some substance.
