Where is Your Heart
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…”
One of the most familiar verses in the Bible. I was thinking about our common interpretation of this verse:
That is, wherever you invest your time, money and energy (treasures), it will cause your heart to be in those things.
But what if there is another way of thinking about it…what if it also means whatever we consider
our treasure to be–whatever things are important to us, our heart will naturally be there.
What do I treasure? Is my heart there, in that place? Do I treasure earthy things more than spiritual things? I’m afraid often I do.
Find where your heart is….that will tell you where your treasure is.

Truly, that article makes me sick to my stomach. And do we see the subtle transition that got us there? If we can “control” life, then let’s control everything!
And I have news for the world…it will not stop there. Unless a host of people will rise up and reclaim the sacredness of life–EVERY life, we will all be tragically affected.
