Thank you for the coupons! I also wanted to say that after I read your posts about cutting back on electricity, my husband and I decided to try it. We just got our newest power bill in the mail yesterday and we had reduced it by $30!!! I know we can get it even lower, but we were both so excited to see an instant change!

    Amanda,

    Now THAT is encouraging, huh?!

o.k. please do not laugh but I have never used a coupon do I need to print them in color and can I use them at any store?

    Lucy,

    (Not laughing ;-)
Not sure about the “in color”, but yes, you should be able to use them anywhere!

  5. Hi, Lucy – I primarily use on line coupons – don’t waste your ink on color, not necessary. Also, different stores have different policies on printed coupons. We shop at HEB (TX) and originally the mgr didn’t want to accept them. Then, after I worked on him a little, he said he would accept them as long as they scanned (didn’t have to be hand entered by the cashier), and they weren’t for free items – I don’t know why that matters, but I just use them elsewhere.

    Hope that helps.

I wish they would come up with coupons for food that is actually healthy lol. Too much to ask, huh? That’s why I don’t really use coupons.

    Kelly,

I know this is off topic, but have you considered doing a post about “family closets”?
I would love any tips you or anyone else could offer in this area. We just rearranged our boys’ room and took the dresser out. Now I have their clothes all over the living room. Trying to figure out how to do the “family closet”. I have a huge room off our bedroom where I do the laundry so this could be done pretty easily. Just wondering if anyone has a successful system with this? No urgency needed, I will just pile stuff in that room until I figure it out (with the way I do laundry it’s not much different anyhow LOL).

    Kelly, and The Cottage Child,
Thank you both for your time and advice.I may learn to be frugal after all.
