My Home Business Interview With Kevin Swanson

There is little more humbling than hearing one’s self recorded (especially when one’s self is from the South
). Nevertheless, I was grateful to spend some time yesterday talking to Kevin Swanson on his radio program Generations With Vision, about family economics, sharing a little about our home business and how it all started. (There was so much of I thought of later that I would have liked to talk about, but it was a very spontaneous interview.)
I think you’ll enjoy Kevin’s dynamic passion for family enterprise.
You can listen to it at Generations With Vision, if you promise to remember that my gift is writing, not speaking

Be thankful that you do not have a New York accent like I do! I cringe when I hear myself on tape.

Oh I enjoyed that so much! I listen to that program sometimes and really enjoy it. You did a great job, and I enjoyed the southern accent!

You did great! I didn’t notice an accent ~ probably because I’m from OK!!!!

Kelly! That radio show was great. I am very glad and thankful that you shared this with us! My husband and I do not have children, and we’ve only been married for a year but this is the life that we want to live. We already see how harmful it is that we spend 8 hours or more a day away from each other. Right now my husband has a job in which he is gone for a week at a time! Its funny because my husband and I tried to do a landscaping business this summer and now we are in debt from that, but that is his passion so we may pursue it again in the future. Right now I have started selling a Canadian product called Epicure and I am really enjoying that and it has brought in some extra money. Our goal is to be able to work together in the future, especially when we have kids. I think it would be great if you did more radio shows! You have a wonderful voice and you are an amazing woman of God! God bless you and your family in all that you do and may he keep your bonds strong forever!

Kelly, I thought you did excellent speaking, and I didn’t catch an accent, but I guess that’s cause I’m a SC gal!
I hung on your every word Kelly. This subject is so dear to my heart. Funny how foreign the thought of both husband and wife being at home is. I really think that society hates home and drives us to think of it as a misery.

Thank you gals, so much, for your encouragement.
And Quinn, I may have been unclear, but the show is up today.Quinn: Duh…I truly am that scatter-brained. *blush*By Sue, December 30, 2009 @ 5:42 pm

Kelly, your interview sounded great… it is not easy to speak with clarity and specificity in a sponteanous interview. I am blessed to have you as a daughter. Dad

Hi, Kelly, my husband sent me a link to your site and I’m so glad he did! Him and I and our oldest daughter watched your natural birth video and (like I always do during birth videos) I totally cried! Beautiful. I’m going to go look for a subscribe button now..

Kelly- That was great! It has been so fun for me to see how God has developed your home business and the participation of the family. I believe God’s plan for your ministry is going to be mind blowing one day. You have a wonderful vision and voice for the christian family in this crazy world.
Love your bro

Chris–you are the one who propelled me to start the blog 3 years ago. Your confidence in me, your wisdom, almost daily encouragement and practical advice has been invaluable to me. Words escape my best attempts to thank you!

Kelly,
Last night, Jeff, my husband, called the family together and said,”I want us all to listen to Kelly Crawford’s interview with Kevin Swanson. She will encourage us all…..not just the ladies in the family.”
And encourage you did! Thanks for being a strong voice for the LORD, Kelly…..may the LORD continue to bless your family and ministry.
PS I just LOVE that your Dad commented as well as your brother……it is precious!
