Your Vote is Appreciated

I usually don’t campaign much for contests, but there is one contest for which I would love your vote. I got into the contest late, so I’m pretty far behind; nevertheless, with your help, I could win! And why do I want to win? Simply put, it is great, free advertising. And since this blog is part of our family’s income, advertising is a very good thing

This new season of life has brought a number of challenges, one of which is my husband back to being totally self-employed. And while he does not have a lack of work (praise the Lord), in these beginning stages, self-employment means he does everything…the marketing, the bidding, the accounting, the meeting with potential customers, and of course, the work.

All that to say, we continue to strive toward more of a balance, when is able to be a bit more available to us, instead of working from “can to can’t” (*grin*…a good ole southern idiom).

We still have a tremendous amount of work to do on the house (the whole downstairs, for starters), and I am praying that the Lord would help me make the most of my job as his helper. On some days (like today) that means doing a lot of the outside work I’d rather not do On others, it means taking every marketing opportunity I can find to supplement our income from here.

I’m just being real. That’s the heart of it, and I would certainly appreciate your voting for the next two days and sharing with any other potential voters.
